Welcome to another event filled year with AWAQ! Our first meeting on Monday, September 14, was a great way to learn all about AWAQ, especially for new members, and really showed what the club has to offer. And, THANKS to those returning members who did such a great job welcoming our new members. Remember, when you’re at a monthly meeting, taking part in an event, out for a QFE lunch, or any of our many other activities, you may be one of the first ladies that a new member has met. A warm welcome makes all the difference, and confirms what we already know – AWAQ is the friendliest group in town and we are here to help!
We have been busy over the summer planning lots of fun things to see and do. The AWAQ online calendar is updated as events & activities are planned, so check it often! All registrations are done online, and you must register in advance to attend an event. If an event is full, please send an email to events@awaqatar.com to be added to the waitlist. Our events and activities are intended for members only; spouses and local family members are welcome when designated. Contact us if you have out of country visitors that you would like to bring to an event/activity. If you have questions, or want to make suggestions, please email us. We’re always looking for fun things to see and do.
If you are new to AWAQ, our events are a great way to help you assimilate into your new home in Doha. Another way to integrate quickly is by becoming involved – so how about becoming involved with AWAQ? We have been blessed with some great ladies who have stepped up to lead events, chair committees and serve on our Board, but we can always use more.
