FAWCO, our parent organization, is once again creating a “Friendship Quilt” which will be raffled off at the FAWCO Interim Meeting in March 2016. Every club (including AWAQ) is encouraged to submit a square or squares. If you like to quilt and would like to participate, instructions can be found here.
This year’s quilt theme is “Liberty” to signify women’s rights. The deadline for submission of quilt squares for the FAWCO Friendship Quilt is October 10, 2015.
The first quilt was made in 1995 and the tradition continues with the proceeds benefiting the FAWCO Programs. Last year’s raffle brought in over $3,000, also in support of women’s rights. For more information, please visit FAWCO’s website, or contact our FAWCO rep, Jodi Gentilozzi.
