Thank you, pillow volunteers!

The American Women’s Association would like to thank all the ladies who participated with the pillow group this summer.

A big “Thank you” goes out to Pat Bacon and the ladies from Maine who completed a total of 50 Drainage bags.

Cathia, who was visiting from the U.S., also sewed with us this summer, and we hope she will come back and join us again!

Thank you to the students from the American School Salwa and Liza for all your help this summer.

What can you do to help?

The pillow group would like to request toiletries (check your vanities for sample-sized shampoo, moisturizer, etc.). These are packaged and provided to hospital patients in the cancer ward to help them feel better after surgery. Recipients are reportedly extremely grateful.  You can bring toiletries to any of our monthly general meetings, or contact Regina for additional options.

Also needed for heart pillows and drainage bags is fabric (1 meter length).  Fabric must be 100% cotton.  Kindly wash and iron the fabric before donating.  Regina can help organize collection of your donation.

Hamad Hospital has asked us to decorate a patient consultation room, and furnishing are needed.   If you are leaving Doha (or know someone who is) and would like to donate two chairs and an occasional table, a small bookcase, artificial flowers and a vase, kindly contact Regina.
