Community Service Collaboration with Girl Scouts

On Friday, February 9, AWA met with the local Girl Scouts to work on our Hamad Hospital projects. Over 50 Girl Scouts ranging from age 5 to 14 attended with their troop leaders. We focused on the heart pillows for breast cancer patients and the dolls for pediatric surgeris. The girls worked hard for over two hours tracing, cutting, stuffing, and finalizing the hearts and dolls. We have two HUGE bags filled with heart pillows ready to be distributed at Hamad Hospital.

Everyone had an amazing time. We were able to share why these projects matter so much and how appreciative the recipients are. Because it was such a success, we are already planning an event for next year!

We remain committed to community outreach and giving back. If you would like to join us in these efforts, please let us know!
