The FAWCO Region 9 Conference (AWAQ is in Region 9) will be held in Amman, Jordan on December 4-6. Topic: The Displacement Dilemma: Focus on Compassion, Friendship, Peace and Expats Sharing Experiences. The “16 Day” Campaign to End Violence Against Women continues….and will end on Dec. 10, 2014 (Human Rights Day). http://www.unwomen.org/en/what-we-do/ending-violence-against-women/take-action/16-days-of-activism. We had a fantastic event to view a film on forgiveness in support of the campaign while wearing our ORANGE scarves! Are you wearing ORANGE?!

Our FAWCO Youth Ambassador Julia Goldsby will be with us for 2 weeks in Feb 2015, and will be our featured guest at the General Meeting on Feb. 9th. The goals of the FAWCO Youth program are to raise awareness in today’s youth of the world around them and to encourage and support them in their endeavors to become responsible global citizens.
