March Meeting Fun!

We had a great March meeting! Lots of fun with Irish-themed bingo, and then Khalifa Saleh Al Haroon, also known as Mr. Q, the CEO and Founder of I Love Qatar. He was hilarious, kind, and encouraging. If we have dreams to make a difference or try something new, he urged us to follow them. He invests in start-ups he believes will make a difference. What a great week!

This has been a jam-packed week for AWA! We kicked off the week with our Sunday afternoon coffee at Tim Horton's, which is always fun. It gives us a chance to chat and get to know people better. For more than 200 years, Americans have been welcoming other nationalities from around the world and that ...

AWAQ representatives Zehra Bengali and Angela Baumann sold 1,540 QR worth of books, and donated a further 165 books to ASD (both the Elementary School and High School English Department).   These proceeds were shared with Girl Up, and AWAQ netted 920 QR. It's also important to m...

Three reasons to love the month of October

1. National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. October is a designated month to nationally raise breast cancer awareness. This is a great time to get involved and make a direct impact in the fight against breast cancer. To continue AWAQ’s commitment, our Community Service Committee spends countless hours, each month, cutting and sewing patterns to support women who are experiencing the agony of breas...
